Alabama Soccer Announces 2023 Schedule

The schedule features five SEC home matches in addition to hosting 2022 NCAA runner-up North Carolina
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama soccer team announced its 2023 schedule on Wednesday. After an undefeated home season, an SEC regular season title and a College Cup appearance, the Crimson Tide will look to repeat the success of the 2022 team.
UA will host 10 matches, including an exhibition game, at the Alabama Soccer Stadium. This year's schedule includes nine teams that advanced to the 2022 NCAA Tournament, including national runner-up North Carolina.
Alabama opens the season by welcoming Tennessee to Tuscaloosa for an exhibition on Aug. 8, before kicking off the season against DePaul on Aug. 17. Highlighted by a match against Tar Heels on Sept. 10, the Crimson Tide's home schedule will also feature non-conference games against Memphis and Miami along with SEC matchups against Georgia, Vanderbilt, Auburn, LSU and Mississippi State.
UA will play five non-conference opponents on the road in UAB, Lipscomb, Samford, Southern Miss and Mercer. Additionally, the team will travel to conference foes Arkansas, Kentucky, Texas A&M, Ole Miss and Missouri.
For the second consecutive year, the SEC Tournament (Oct. 30-Nov. 5) will be held in Pensacola, Fla. The first round of the NCAA Tournament is slated to begin on Nov. 10 with the NCAA Championship match being held in Cary, N.C., Nov. 4.
