
Rhyan White to Represent Team USA at World Aquatics Championships

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Former Alabama swimmer Rhyan White will represent the U.S. at the World Aquatic Championships. White will compete in the 200m backstroke at the international competition, being held July 22-30 in Fukuoka, Japan.
White will race in the 200-meter backstroke after putting together a spectacular performance at the Phillips 66 National Championships earlier this month. White reached the wall with a time of 2:05.77 to earn a silver medal in the event and earn a spot on the U.S. roster.
200m Backstroke Schedule
- Thursday, July 27 | 8:52 p.m. CT – Preliminary Race
- Friday, July 28 | 6:20 a.m. CT – Semifinal Race
- Saturday, July 29 | 6:57 a.m. CT – Finals Race
Rhyan White
- Qualified for the World Championships for the second consecutive year
- Event will feature 45 swimmers, including U.S. teammate Regan Smith
- Is one of 23 female athletes named to the U.S. roster
- Qualified for the event after earning a silver medal in the 200m backstroke at the Phillips 66 National Championships
- Swam a time of 2:05.77 at the U.S. championships to out touch the third-place finisher by a half a second
