
Twelve Alabama Rowers Earn CRCA Scholar-Athlete Honors

The Crimson Tide is one of five Big 12 schools to have athletes named to the list
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -Â Twelve student-athletes from the Alabama rowing team earned Scholar-Athlete honors from the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association, the organization announced Friday.
Alabama, who competes in the Big 12 for rowing, joined Kansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas as the only conference members with representation on the list.
To qualify, an athlete must be in at least their second year of eligibility, while maintaining an average cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. Additionally, student-athletes must have rowed in their institution's NCAA or IRA (lightweight) eligible boats for a minimum of 75% of the current spring races or race in an NCAA Boat at their Conference Championship/NCAA Championship.
