
Fifth-Year Senior Pitcher Kayla Beaver to Join Alabama Softball for 2024 Season

The Jackson, Tenn., native was a Top 25 Finalist for USA Player of the Year in 2023
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama softball has announced the addition of fifth-year senior pitcher Kayla Beaver to its 2024 roster, joining the Crimson Tide after a standout career at Central Arkansas.
Beaver is coming off a stellar 2023 season with the Bears, leading the team with a 25-7 record and 1.15 ERA with 194 strikeouts over 201.2 innings pitched. Her 11 shutouts ranked third nationally, also finishing in the top 10 among all Division I players in wins and ERA. She was a top 25 finalist for USA Softball Player of the Year, ASun Conference Tournament MVP and NFCA Second Team All-Region honoree.
Over her career in Conway, Ark., she owns the top ERA in program history (1.52) and is second in wins (74), opponent batting average (.209) and shutouts (23) and third in strikeouts (514).
Beaver is the fourth newcomer on the current 2024 Crimson Tide roster, alongside junior college transfer infielder Kendal Clark and freshman pitcher Jocelyn Briski and freshman outfielder Lauren Johnson.
