Alabama Alumna McKinley Crone Signs with Orlando Pride

Crone earned her first professional contract and will be available for competition beginning on June 28
ORLANDO, Fla. – Former Alabama goalkeeper McKinley Crone has signed her first professional contract and is set to join the Orlando Pride, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Crone signed a National Team Replacement Player contract and will compete alongside the Pride during the international stretch with availability beginning on June 28 for Orlando's midweek Challenge Cup matchup. Crone has been training with Orlando during the 2023 season.
McKinley Crone Career Highlights
- Holds the NCAA record for career goalkeeping minutes (9,519.77)
- Set the UA record for single-season shutouts (10) and single-season wins (23)
- Also holds Alabama record for career wins (41), while tying the school record for career shutouts (21)
- Ranks second all-time at UA for single-season goals-against average (0.76)
- Finished the 2022 season ranked third nationally in career saves with 441
- Recorded 81 saves and allowed just 20 goals her final year with the Tide
- Posted shutouts against two ranked opponents in No. 5 South Carolina and No. 18 Clemson during the 2022 College Cup run
- 2022 Southeastern Conference All-Tournament Team selection
