The Crimson Tide and Aggies will meet for the 32nd time in series history on Friday
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama baseball travels to Bryan-College Station this weekend for a three-game series with Texas A&M. The Crimson Tide and Aggies are scheduled for a 6 p.m. CT first pitch in Friday's opener followed by a 2 p.m. start and a 3 p.m. open in the final two contests. The first two games at Blue Bell Park will air on SEC Network+ with Sunday's matchup receiving national attention on SEC Network.

- Alabama and Texas A&M will meet for the 32nd time in history when the two teams open the weekend series on Friday evening at Blue Bell Park. The Aggies hold the all-time advantage, 19-12, including a 9-6 mark in Bryan-College Station.
- The Crimson Tide and Aggies met four times last season, first for a three-game series in Tuscaloosa followed by a single contest in Hoover. Alabama earned a 2-1 series win from April 1-3 at The Joe, falling 2-3 in game one before a 10-9 and 8-4 win in the final two matchups to clinch the series. The matchup in Hoover came on May 27 with A&M claiming a 12-8 win at The Met.
- Alabama last traveled to Bryan-College Station from April 9-11, 2021, with the Tide sweeping the Aggies. UA won 5-3 in game one before a series-clinching 6-3 victory in game two. The weekend wrapped up in a sweep thanks to a 7-4 win for the Crimson Tide on getaway day.

- Alabama heads to Bryan-College Station this weekend after a 3-1 stretch over the last four games. The Crimson Tide claimed victories in the bookend games of the series with then-No. 5 Vanderbilt from Thursday through Saturday of last week before downing Troy, 7-2, in Montgomery on Tuesday evening.
- After a rough weekend on the mound in Baton Rouge, the Crimson Tide's pitching has bounced back in a big way. Over the last four games, UA has maintained a 2.00 ERA (8 ER/36.0 IP) and limited the opposition to just a .184 average. The staff has also struck out 38 compared to seven walks during the current run.
- The Tide arms were especially key to the series win over Vandy, limiting the 'Dores to seven runs across the three games. Alabama's finished the series with a 2.33 ERA and held VU to a .200 average overall. UA was also able to limit the base on balls, issuing only four walks compared to 25 strikeouts across the 27.0 total innings pitched.
- Alabama wrapped up its midweek slate for the 2023 campaign with a 7-2 win over Troy on Tuesday in Montgomery.
- Troy was first on the board with one in the second and one run in the fourth before UA got its first tally in the home half of that fourth. The Tide then went on to score six runs over the next three innings with two in the fifth, three in the sixth and one in the seventh to put the game out of reach.
- Alabama's offense produced 11 hits with four players contributing multi-hit showings on Tuesday evening. Bryce Eblin led the way with a 3-for-4 effort that included a double, one RBI and a run scored. Tommy Seidl, Drew Williamson and Andrew Pinckney all tallied two hits apiece with Seidl and Pinckney each doubling while Williamson homered.
- Tuesday's win went to Aidan Moza, who contributed 2.1 scoreless frames with a hit, one walk and three strikeouts. Moza paired with Braylon Myers and Hunter Hoopes to keep the Trojans off the board across the final 5.1 frames.
- Three homers powered Alabama to an 11-2 win over Vandy last Thursday evening at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.
- The Tide totaled 10 hits, including the three home runs, and scored in five of the eight innings. The scoring was highlighted by a pair of four-run frames in the second and eighth innings.
- UA's huge second came by way a of grand slam from Pinckney. The redshirt junior finished his night 2-for-2 with the grand slam, two walks, two runs and a team-high five RBI. The eighth included a three-run shot from Williamson, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and a run scored. Also homering was Ed Johnson.
- The Tide's early offense allowed Luke Holman to settle in for his team-high sixth win. The sophomore tossed 7.0 innings of two-run ball, allowing just four hits and one walk while striking out seven across his career-high 98 pitches.
- Alabama suffered a 4-1 loss to the 'Dores last Friday.
- Vanderbilt jumped ahead early, scoring one apiece in the second and third before adding a pair in the fifth. Alabama got a run back in the sixth on a Caden Rose solo homer but would get no closer.
- Crimson Tide starter Garrett McMillan suffered the loss despite a solid outing. The senior allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk with three strikeouts across 6.0 innings of work. He was followed by Hagan Banks and Moza, who combined for 3.0 scoreless frames to keep the Tide within striking distance on the back-end.
- An eighth-inning homer from Mac Guscette was the difference in Alabama's 2-1 series-clinching win last Saturday.
- Hits and runs were hard to come by in game three, with each team registering only six hits apiece while the Tide held the advantage in runs.
- Vanderbilt struck first with a two-out RBI-double in the top of the third, but a Williamson solo shot in the bottom of the fourth tied things up at one apiece. Both teams would go scoreless until the eighth when Guscette's solo homer to left clinched the game and series for UA.
- Kade Woods earned the win with 2.0 relief frames that included three punchouts. Alton Davis II followed with a scoreless ninth to record his sixth save of the season.
- The relief duo entered after an impressive start by Jacob McNairy. The graduate allowed one run on four hits and a walk with a career-high tying seven strikeouts in 6.0 innings of work.
About Texas A&M
- Jim Schlossnagle is in his second season at Texas A&M and 22nd year overall as a collegiate head coach. He entered the 2023 campaign with a career 855-413 mark, including 18 seasons at TCU and two at UNLV. A 1989 graduate of Elon, Schlossnagle is joined on staff by associate head coach Nate Yeskie along with assistants Nolan Cain and Michael Earley.
- Texas A&M finished the 2022 season at 44-20 overall, including a 19-11 mark in SEC action. The Aggies advanced all the way to Omaha after hosting an NCAA Regional and Super Regional. A&M was eliminated by Oklahoma.
- The Aggies were selected to finish second in the Western Division and fourth overall in the SEC in the league's preseason poll, as voted on by the conference's head coaches.

Alabama will wrap up the 2023 regular season slate with a home series against Ole Miss from May 18-20. Thursday and Friday are scheduled for a 6 p.m. first pitch with the regular season finale on Saturday set for 2 p.m. All three contests will air on SEC Network+.
