
Alabama Divers Set to Compete at NCAA Zone B Diving Championships

The Zone Championships serve as the NCAA Championships qualifier for divers
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama Swimming and Diving is sending four divers to the NCAA Zone B Championships, March 5-8, at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center in Knoxville, Tenn., on the University of Tennessee campus.
Peter Edin will represent the Crimson Tide men, with Ryleigh Rodgers, Courtney Russo and Alexandra Warshaw competing on the women's side.
Divers qualify for the NCAA Championships exclusively through the five Zone meets across the country, with a set number of slots per event in each Zone. For the women, Zone B has 11 slots for the 1-meter, nine slots in the 3-meter and six slots available in platform. On the men's side, seven slots are available in the 1-meter, eight slots in the 3-meter and nine slots for platform.
In addition to hosting the Zone B championships, Knoxville is also the site of the 2023 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships.
The Crimson Tide Contingent
- Peter Edin will represent Alabama in the men's 1-meter and 3-meter springboards
- Ryleigh Rodgers, Courtney Russo and Alexandra Warshaw are set to compete in the women's 1-meter springboard
- Rodgers will also compete in the women's 3-meter springboard for the Crimson Tide
- Edin, Rodgers and Russo each earned their first wins of the season at the WVU Invite in the men's 3-meter, women's 3-meter and women's 1-meter respectively
The 2023 Zone B Championships
- There will be 103 divers from 17 different schools, including SEC rivals Auburn, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee
- The meet will begin Sunday at 2 p.m. CT with prelims of the men's 1-meter, while finals are slated to get underway at 4:15 p.m.
- Events will start at 11 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
- Monday will feature the women's 1-meter and men's 3-meter
- Tuesday will include the women's 3-meter and men's platform
- The Zone B Championships will close on Wednesday with the women's platform
