
Alabama Swimming and Diving’s Kalia Antoniou Earns Second Team CSC Academic All-America Honors

The 2023All-American earned the honor for the first time of her career and is one of just two Southeastern Conference student-athletes to be selected for second team honors
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama swimming and diving's Kalia Antoniou earned a place on the College Sports Communicators' Academic All-America Team, the organization announced Monday.
This year's honor marks Antoniou's first appearance on the CSC Academic team. The fifth-year senior holds a spotless 4.00 GPA in hospitality management.
Antoniou's Accolades
- Earned first-team All-America honors at the 2023 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships after a seventh-place, podium finish as members of the 200 medley relay squad
- At the 2023 SEC Championships, Antoniou won her second-consecutive silver medal in the 100 freestyle and was a member of both gold-medal winning relays (400 and 200 medley)
- Also won bronze in the 50 freestyle at the 2023 SEC Championships
- Named the Cyprus 2022 Female Athlete of the Year by her home country's Sports Writers Association
- Three-time CSCAA First-Team Scholar All-American
- Four-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll
- Three-time All-SEC honoree
