Alabama Rowing Wraps Up Weekend at the Louisville Cardinal Invitational

The Crimson Tide returns to the water Saturday, April 1, in a dual race against Tennessee
OAK RIDGE, Tenn. – Alabama rowing concluded its weekend at the Louisville Cardinal Invitational, securing 10 victories across 15 races.
Saturday morning, the Crimson Tide's First Varsity 4+ grabbed the win, finishing before Navy's second-place crew by nearly three seconds (7:11.313). Later that afternoon, Alabama's 2v4+ posted a photo-finish victory over Tennessee, crossing the line less than a second before the Vols (7:16.828).
The final day of the regatta featured a four-second win for the Tide in the Second Varsity 8+, as Alabama finished ahead of Indiana and Clemson at 6:41.451.
The Tide went undefeated throughout the weekend in the Third Varsity 8+ and Second Varsity 4+. Alabama's 1V8+, 2V8+ and 1V4+ crews all picked up at least one win throughout the two-day Invitational.

"It was a great weekend of racing! We were really proud of how all our crews pushed for the full 2k against our competition. There was a lot of tight racing and some exciting come-from-behind victories. This type of racing is only going to make us better as the season progresses.
