The Crimson Tide battled to a 4-3 score in both of its matches on Saturday

MONTGOMERY, Ala. –– The Alabama men's tennis team (8-5) dropped a pair of 4-3 decisions to Nebraska (6-5) and Texas Tech (6-6) on Saturday to conclude the two-day Blue Gray National Tennis Classic in Montgomery, Ala.

After playing the doubles point on Friday, the Tide concluded its match against the Cornhuskers in a battle that came down to the last court. Alabama would again go head-to-head against a team as Texas Tech also edged the Tide 4-3.

Against Nebraska

The Cornhuskers opened the day leading 1-0 after capturing the doubles point Friday night
Nebraska made it a 2-0 game after winning on court three
UA recorded its first point with a 6-1, 6-4 win from Enzo Aguiard on court two
Matias Ponce De Leon evened the score with a 6-3, 6-4 win on court four
The Tide took the lead off a 6-2, 7-6 (0) win on court five, but Nebraska won on courts one and six for the win

Against Texas Tech

UA opened the match by winning the doubles point
Aguiard and Filip Planinsek recorded the first win at 6-2 on court one
German Samofalov and Yair Sarouk secured the doubles point with a 6-2 win on court two moments later
In singles, Roan Jones captured the first point for a 2-0 Alabama lead with a 6-3, 6-2 win on court four
Texas Tech took a win on court three, but Aguiard push the score back out with a 6-3, 6-4 victory on court two
Texas Tech recorded the last three points to secure the match

Alabama will open SEC play on March 2, hosting Georgia at the Alabama Tennis Stadium
