The Crimson Tide will celebrate Faith Hensley’s senior day prior to Saturday’s doubleheader
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Seventh-ranked Alabama softball continues its homestand with five games this weekend at the Easton Bama Bash, welcoming Kennesaw State, Southeastern Louisiana and Indiana State to Rhoads Stadium. The Crimson Tide will also be celebrating Faith Hensley's senior day prior to Saturday's games.

- Alabama earned a hard-fought comeback victory Wednesday night against Samford, rallying from a 2-0 deficit to score three unanswered and come away with the 3-2 victory
- After falling behind 2-0 in the fourth, an RBI double from Bailey Dowling scratched a run across for the Tide in the bottom half of the inning
- With two on and nobody out in the sixth, Ally Shipman stepped in to pinch hit and dropped a single into right to drive in the tying run from second

Murphy Earns 1200th Win at Alabama
- With a win Wednesday against Samford, Alabama head coach Patrick Murphy earned his 1,200th win at the helm of the Crimson Tide
- Including his one year as the interim head coach at Northwest Missouri State, Murphy has 1,228 wins across all levels
- Seventeen other head coaches have surpassed the 1,200 win mark with 11 doing so entirely at the Division I level
- Current and former SEC coaches on the 1,200 win list include Ralph Weekly (Tennessee), Jo Evans (Texas A&M) and Karen Weekly (Tennessee), though Murphy is the only one with over 1,000 wins entirely at a Southeastern Conference program

- Her 909 career strikeouts rank sixth all-time, with Jaclyn Traina (2011-14) as the next highest at 976 in fifth place
