
Brandon Miller Named SEC Freshman of the Week

Miller notches his sixth SEC weekly honor
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Following Alabama's wins over Florida and Auburn, Alabama freshman Brandon Miller has been named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week, the league office announced Monday. Miller has now won SEC Freshman of the Week for the sixth time this season, tying the program record set by James "Hollywood" Robinson in 1991.
The 6-9 freshman from Antioch, Tenn. notched his ninth 20-point game of the season in UA's win over Florida, scoring 24 points and coming close to a double-double, pulling down nine rebounds. In Alabama's win on the road over its rival Auburn, Miller scored double-figures with 13 points along with six rebounds and three assists. For the week, Miller averaged 18.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists against the Gators and Tigers.Â

- One of 10 players named to the Julius Erving Award Watch List, which honors the nation's top small forward
- Named to the 203 John R. Wooden Award Late Season Top 20 Watch List
