McLaughlin, Milroe Earn CSC Academic All-District Football Honors

The duo were recognized for their performance on the field and in the classroom
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama football's Seth McLaughlin and Jalen Milroe were each named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Football Team, the CSC announced Tuesday.
The 2023 Academic All-District Football teams, as selected by the CSC, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Both McLaughlin and Milroe will now advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on Jan. 23, 2024.
CSC Academic All-District Honorees
Seth McLaughlin, Offensive Lineman
- Earned his master's degree this December, finishing with with a 3.625 grade point average in hospitality management
- Graduated Summa Cum Laude with a perfect 4.000 undergraduate GPA in finance in just under three years
- Named a semifinalist for the Campbell Trophy in 2023
- Selected to the 2022-23 CSC Academic All-District Team
- Recognized three times on the SEC Academic Honor Roll
Jalen Milroe, Quarterback
- Obtained his undergraduate degree in only three years, graduating cum laude
- Maintained a 3.503 grade point average in management with a concentration in entrepreneurship
- Will begin master's work this spring with a focus on sport management
- Named to the President's List and Dean's List one time apiece in undergrad
- Earned a spot on the SEC Academic Honor Roll twice
