Reichard Named Groza Award Semifinalist

The Crimson Tide kicker is one of 20 semifinalists for the Groza
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama's Will Reichard was named a semifinalist for the Lou Groza Collegiate Placekicker Award, the Palm Beach County Sports Commission announced on Thursday morning.
Reichard is one of 20 semifinalists for the Groza which is presented annually to college football's top placekicker. A group of finalists will be named on Nov. 28 and honored at the 32nd annual Lou Groza Collegiate Placekicker Awards Banquet on Dec. 4. The 2023 winner of the Groza will be announced on Dec. 8 as part of the Home Depot College Football Awards on ESPN.
Alabama has never had a Groza Award winner in program history.
Lou Groza Award Semifinalist
- One of the most reliable placekickers in college football history
- Totaled 502 points on 77 field goals and 271 made PATs
- Owns the NCAA kicking points record and ranks third all-time for career points
- Holds the SEC record for both kicking and career points
- The Alabama record holder for made PATs who ranks third on UA's career field goals list
- Accumulated 76 points during his final season at the Capstone, going 15-of-17 on field goals a perfect 31-of-31 on PAT tries
