No. 19/20 Alabama Swimming and Diving Set for First Road Meet

The competition is the third of the year for the Tide and first road meet of the season
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The No. 19/20 Alabama men's and women's swimming teams will compete in their first away meet of the season as the Tide travels to Tallahassee, Fla. The Crimson Tide will face the No. 24/NR Florida State Seminoles and the LSU Tigers at the Morcom Aquatics Center at 9 a.m. CT Saturday.
The Meet
- Date: Saturday
- Time: 9 a.m.
- Venue: Morcom Aquatics Center – Tallahassee, Fla,
- Live results will be pushed to Meet Mobile (Andriod | Apple)
The Competition
- Alabama and Florida State will meet for the first time since the 2019-20 regular season
- The Seminoles enter the meet with the men's team holding the 24th spot in the CSCAA rankings
- Both the men and women are coming off wins against Florida Southern College
- Alabama and LSU will meet for the third consecutive season
- The women's squad is coming off a loss against Arkansas, while the men are coming off a loss to Utah
The Tide
- Both Alabama teams opened the 2023-24 season ranked in the CSCAA rankings as the men enter the meet at No. 19 and the women enter at No. 20
- The UA men and women currently have 10 times posted in the top-25 nationally, while Ryleigh Rodgers continues to lead the conference on the 1m board
- The Crimson Tide is coming off its second consecutive dual meet sweep, after defeating the Missouri Tigers in its Southeastern Conference Opener (10/20)
- The UA women won 13 of 16 events, as the men posted 12 event wins
- Alabama swept the weekly SEC swimming honors, following its meet against the Tigers
- Kaique Alves and Mackenzie Brandt both earned Swimmer of the Week honors as Tommy Hagar and Jada Scott picked up Freshman of the Week honors
