Alabama’s Grant Nelson, Mark Sears Named to the Coaches Preseason All-SEC Second Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama men's basketball duo Grant Nelson and Mark Sears were announced as Southeastern Conference Preseason Second Team All-SEC selections, the league office announced Thursday.

The coaches' preseason All-SEC first and second teams consist of a minimum of eight players on each squad, voted on by the SEC basketball coaches. Alabama is one of five schools in the SEC to have multiple selections joining Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee and Texas A&M. This is the second SEC preseason honor for both Nelson and Sears as Nelson was named First Team All-SEC while Sears was a Second Team All-SEC honoree by local and national media.
