Former Alabama players make an impact in Week 10 of the NFL season
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The National Football League concluded Week 10 of the regular season Monday evening. Below is a look at how former Alabama players performed on the gridiron last week.
Jahmyr Gibbs shined for the Lions in Detroit's thrilling 41-38 road win against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. The rookie rushed for 77 yards and two touchdowns on 14 attempts while also contributing three receptions for 35 yards. Fellow running back Josh Jacobs carried a season-high 27 times for 116 yards and caught two passes for 11 combined yards in the Las Vegas Raiders' 16-12 win over the New York Jets on Sunday Night Football.
Also excelling at running back in Week 10 was Brian Robinson Jr. of the Washington Commanders. Robinson Jr. racked up a career-high 119 receiving yards and a touchdown on six catches in a road pairing with the Seattle Seahawks. He also contributed 38 yards on the ground across eight carries. Rounding out the offensive group was Amari Cooper, who excelled in Cleveland's 33-31 comeback win over the Baltimore Ravens. The veteran wideout hauled in six receptions for 98 yards to help the Browns to an upset victory.
On the defensive side of the ball, C.J. Mosley of the Jets and Xavier McKinney of the New York Giants continued their dominant play. Mosley posted a season-high 14 total tackles against the Raiders, while McKinney registered 10 total stops on the road in Dallas against the Cowboys.
A pair of former Tide defensive linemen also stood out in Week 10. Jonathan Allen tallied four tackles, including one sack, to go with a pair of quarterback hurries for the Commanders. Christian Barmore registered four tackles, one tackle for loss and one quarterback hurry in Germany for the New England Patriots.
