Former Alabama players continue to make an impact in Week 4 of the NFL season
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The National Football League concluded Week 4 of the regular season Monday evening. Below is a look at how former Alabama players performed on the gridiron last week.
Derrick Henry shined in Tennessee's 27-3 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. Henry finished his day with 122 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries while catching one pass for a gain of 11. The Titans' tailback also threw a two-yard touchdown pass on the goal line for his third career passing score. Fellow tailback Josh Jacobs continued his solid play for the Las Vegas Raiders, rushing 17 times for 58 yards and a touchdown against the Chargers. He also tallied eight receptions for 81 yards in the divisional matchup.
Jalen Hurts led his team to a thrilling 34-31, overtime victory against the Washington Commanders to help Philadelphia remain unbeaten on the young season. Hurts completed 25-of-37 passes for 319 yards and two scores. The Eagles' signal-caller also rushed nine times for 34 yards in the divisional win. Rounding out the offensive group was Calvin Ridley. The Jaguars wide receiver caught two passes for 38 yards and a score to secure the win for Jacksonville across the pond in England.
Veteran linebacker C.J. Mosley was dominant for the New York Jets on Sunday Night Football. Mosley totaled a season-high 11 tackles to go with one pass defended and an interception. Also excelling from his inside backer spot was Christian Harris of the Texans. Harris led the defense with 13 tackles on Sunday to help Houston to a dominant 30-6 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Kareem Jackson played a key role in Denver's 31-28 road win over the Chicago Bears. Jackson notched eight total tackles and a pass breakup to go with his 22nd career interception that sealed the victory for the Broncos. Jonathan Allen was solid once again, racking up four tackles, including two for loss and one sack, to go with a quarterback hurry for the Washington Commanders.
