Miller notches his fourth SEC weekly honor
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – For the second straight week and fourth time this season, Alabama's freshman Brandon Miller has been named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week, the league office announced Monday. The Crimson Tide have now won SEC Freshman of the Week six of the 10 weeks this season.Â
The 6-9 freshman from Antioch, Tenn. averaged 18 points and 6.0 rebounds in Alabama's wins over Ole Miss and Kentucky. Miller led the Tide in scoring in both games, scoring 17 points against the Rebels and 19 points vs. the Wildcats. Miller joins James Robinson as the only Alabama players to win four SEC weekly awards in the same season.Â

- Ranks No. 1 in the SEC in points per game (19.1) and No. 34 in the nation
- Miller is the only freshman in the country to rank in the top 70 in points per game (No. 34) and rebounds per game (No. 66)
- Miller is one of seven players in Division I, the only player in the SEC and the only freshman in the country that has scored 280 points and recorded 125 rebounds this season
