Grayson Hitt Named Preseason Third Team All-American by Baseball America

Hitt finished 4-3 across 14 starts as a sophomore, serving in the Sunday starter role during the 2022 campaign
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama left-handed pitcher Grayson Hitt was named a preseason third team All-American by Baseball America, the outlet announced on Monday morning.
Baseball America annually polls major league teams to vote for its Preseason All-America squad, asking that they make their selections based on performance, talent and pro potential. Ten of the first 11 college players drafted in 2022 were voted as BA Preseason All-Americans. In all, 27 of the 36 Preseason All-Americans who were draft eligible went on to be selected in the top 101 picks of the 2022 Draft.

- Took on a weekend starter role for the Tide in 2022
- Finished 4-3 across 14 starts as a sophomore
- Tossed 60.2 innings by season's end, good for third on the Alabama pitching staff
- Ranked second on UA with 68 strikeouts and punched out five-plus batters in seven of those starts
