TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's basketball fell 89-51 to No. 4/4 LSU on Monday inside Coleman Coliseum with the help of a dominant second quarter from the Tigers.
Alabama (15-5, 4-3 SEC) was led by Brittany Davis, who tallied her 16th consecutive game in double figures with an 11-point performance in addition to adding seven boards and a steal. Sarah Ashlee Barker recorded nine points, four boards and a steal, while Loyal McQueen had eight points and two assists off the bench. Jada Rice added nine rebounds and two blocks to the night.
Jasmine Walker, LaDazhia Williams and Alexis Morris combined to score 54 points for LSU (20-0, 8-0 SEC) in the game. Walker posted 20 points, seven boards and a steal while Williams had 17 points, 10 boards and two blocks and Morris had 17 points and seven assists. Angel Reese added 14 points and 10 rebounds to the win.
Alabama Head Coach Kristy Curry Said
" First thing I want to do is really thank all the Greeks and Crimson Chaos and the community for coming out tonight to support us. (It was a) really great crowd. We hope they'll keep coming back.
"We've had better nights. I just want to thank everybody that came out. We hope we can build on that here down the stretch with some really good home games. So credit LSU. I thought they shot the ball really well and had balance throughout the score sheet. Have to pick ourselves up and move forward, and focus at midnight like we always say. Good and bad, we reset, have the toughness and character to move forward."

- Davis scored double figures for the 16th- consecutive game and 18th time this season
- Rice has tallied 50 blocks this season to tie for seventh all-time at UA for season blocks

How It Happened
- A three and a jumper from Aaliyah Nye paced the Tide through the first media timeout as UA trailed 11-7 (4:20)
- A layup from Barker coming out of the timeout made it a one possession game (11-9) but an 8-2 run to close the quarter moved the Tigers out to an eight-point advantage (19-11)
- LSU opened the second stanza with a 14-0 run that lasted a little over four minutes (33-11)
- The Tigers would continue to build, outscoring the Tide 14-7 to take a 29-point lead heading into the break
- Nye paced the team with five points, while Davis added four points and five boards
- The Tide was 21.1 percent from the floor and just 11.8 percent from distance
- LSU shot 48.6 percent in the half and was 50.0 percent from beyond the arc
- The Tigers took a 9-4 run to open the third quarter (56-22), but UA took seven of the next nine points to make it 58-29 at 4:58 on the clock
- Alabama trailed 11-9 over the final minutes of the quarter as LSU held a 69-38 lead heading into the final stanza
- UA took a 9-2 run in the opening minutes to cut the score to 73-47, however the Tigers closed the game on a 16-4 run
