Tow becomes the second four-time honoree in program history
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama softball's Montana Fouts and Kaylee Tow earned First Team CoSIDA Softball Academic All-America honors Tuesday, with Tow becoming just the second four-time winner in program history.
Tow joins former Crimson Tide standout Bailey Hemphill as the only four-time CoSIDA Academic All-Americans in program history. The Madisonville, Ky., native earned First Team recognition three times throughout her career, carrying a 4.0 GPA through her undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Alabama. This year also marks the second-straight First Team award for Fouts, who earned her undergraduate degree last December and is currently pursuing a master's degree.
Tide softball has placed multiple honorees on the list in nine of the last 11 seasons, now boasting a total of 35 over the program's history. Across all sports, Alabama now has 212 all-time Academic All-Americans.
