This year, Chelangat finished second at the 2021 NCAA Cross Country Championships and was third in the 5,000 meters at the 2022 NCAA Indoor Championships.
Head Coach Dan Water Said
"I can't say enough about the heart and passion that Mercy runs with. She has been a huge part of our success over the last few seasons, and this weekend was no exception. What's most exciting is knowing she's not done yet. Overall, we're proud of the effort that this team put forth and the way younger athletes grew as the year went along. We are primed to come back with a great roster next season and we're just going to go out there and do everything we can to move up ladder as we go along."
