Alabama Rowing Opens Racing at Pac-12 Invitational Saturday

The Crimson Tide concludes its weekend Sunday starting at 10 a.m. CT
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama rowing opened its weekend at the Pac-12 Invitational Saturday morning with four races against No. 3 Cal, No. 18 Oregon State and UCLA.
The Second Varsity 4+ started the day off with a third-place finish of 7:36.12, less than two seconds ahead of the Bruins crew trailing close behind. The First Varsity 4+ crossed the line with a time of 7:33.02 in its race before the 8s hit the water as the wind on Lake Las Vegas started to pick up. The 2V8+ finished third (6:35.88) in a tight pack with second-place Oregon State at 6:32.32 and fourth-place UCLA at 6:39.54. The 1V8+ finished the Tide's day on the water with a time of 6:42.25.
Racing continues Sunday, starting with the 2V4+ at 10 a.m. CT against No. 4 Stanford, No. 18 Oregon State and UCLA followed by the 1V4+ (11 a.m. CT), 2V8+ (12 p.m. CT) and 1V8+ (1 p.m. CT) against No. 8 Washington, No. 12 USC and Washington State. The Pac-12 Invitational will be live streamed on the Lake Las Vegas Rowing Club's Facebook page.
