Montana Fouts Named Top 25 Finalist for USA Softball Player of the Year

This year marks Fouts’ third appearance as a Top 25 finalist
OKLAHOMA CITY – Alabama senior pitcher Montana Fouts was named one of 25 finalists for the 2022 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year, announced Wednesday.
This year marks Fouts' third appearance as a Top 25 finalist, previously doing so in 2019 and 2021. This season she is 19-3 with a 2.09 ERA and 203 strikeouts, which leads the SEC and is 13th nationally. She has been named SEC Pitcher of the Week three times this season, the only pitcher in the league this year to win multiple honors.
The list of 25 will be narrowed to a Top 10 on May 4 with the Top 3 coming May 18 and the Player of the Year award winner announced in Oklahoma City prior to the start of the Women's College World Series.
