TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –– The Alabama men's tennis team fell, 5-2, Friday night to No. 24 Texas A&M at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.

The Crimson Tide (6-15, 0-7 SEC) clinched the doubles point against the Aggies (18-9, 5-2 SEC) with wins on courts one and three, before Juan Martin recorded a three-set victory on court five in singles.

The UA doubles pairing of Patrick Kaukovalta and Filip Planinsek opened the day with a 6-3 win against Kenner Taylor and Noah Schachter at the No. 1 spot
Texas A&M found a 6-2 win on court two, but German Samofalov and Joao Ferreira battled their way to a 7-5 decision on court three to give Alabama the doubles point
Despite, the Aggies clinching the match off of wins on courts three, six, two and one, respectively, Alabama saw three singles courts go into a third set
Martin captured a victory on court five off a third-set tiebreaker as the UA graduate student went 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (5) against Pierce Rollins
Samofalov battled through two tiebreakers in his three-set 7-6 (1), 6-7 (1), 6-3 loss to Giulio Perego on court four as 112^th-ranked Planinsek fell 7-5, 0-6, 6-4 to 56^th-ranked Schachter at the No. 1 spot

Alabama continues its homestand, hosting Arkansas in a 1 p.m. CT match at the Alabama Tennis Stadium, before facing Tennessee Tech in a 5:30 p.m. CT match later that day
