Scouting Alabama
- Alabama continues SEC play this weekend at Rhoads Stadium, hosting Georgia for a three-game series starting Saturday, April 2
- The Tide earned an 8-0 win in five innings over Alabama State on Tuesday, including a no-hitter from redshirt freshman Alex Salter
- Alabama heads into the weekend tied with Auburn for first in the SEC at 6-3, with four teams one half-game behind the lead and Florida just one game back
- Head Coach Patrick Murphy is in his 24th season as head coach at Alabama with a 1,173-324 (.784) record

Last Time Out: vs. Alabama State
- Redshirt freshman Alex Salter threw the 40th no-hitter in program history in an 8-0 win Tuesday against Alabama State
- The no-hitter was the first of Salter's career and the first for any Alabama pitcher this season
- The win was the Tide's 10th shutout of the season and its ninth run-rule victory
- All six true freshmen were in the starting lineup, along with redshirt freshman Alex Salter pitching
Alabama No-Hitters
- Salter's no-hitter on Tuesday was the 40th in program history, the first of her career and the first for any Alabama pitcher this season
- Three of the Tide's last five no-hitters have come against Alabama State, all in the last two years
- Salter is the third pitcher on the current staff to throw a no-hitter, joining Montana Fouts and Lexi Kilfoyl who each have thrown one solo and one combined
