
10 Alabama Swimmers Earn Individual Women's NCAA Championships Berths

The Crimson Tide will add to its NCAA lineup once it solidifies its relay lineups and will look to add divers to the NCAA meet at the upcoming NCAA Zone B Diving Championships
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women qualified 10 swimmers in individual events for the upcoming NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, which will be held in Atlanta, Ga., March 16-19.
The Crimson Tide women are coming off their best showing at the Southeastern Conference Championships in more than 25 years, taking third place overall with nine individual and relay golds. Last season, Alabama took fifth place at the NCAA Championships, tying its best national finish in school history after also finishing fifth in 1983. It was the Tide's first top-10 finish since 1994.
Going to the National Championships
- The Crimson Tide's NCAA contingent is led by Olympic silver medalist and World Championships gold medalist Rhyan White
- The 2022 SEC 100 and 200 backstroke champion, White is seeded in the top-five in the 100 and 200 backstrokes and in the top 10 in the 100 butterfly
- Morgan Scott, the SEC 50 and 100 freestyle champion, is seeded in the top-10 in both of those events
- Kalia Antoniou is headed back to the NCAA Championships in both the 50 and 100 freestyle, seeded in the top-12 in both
- Kensey McMahon, who medaled in both the 500 and 1,650 freestyle at the 2022 SEC Championships, is seeded in the top 10 in both of those events heading into NCAAs
- Cora Dupre qualified in the 50, 100 and 200 freestyles for the second year in a row and is seeded in the top 25 in all three events
- Diana Petkova, who medaled in the 200 individual medley at the SEC Championships, is seeded in the top-15 in both the 100 breaststroke and 100 freestyle and the top-25 in the 200 individual medley heading into NCAAs
- Cat Wright qualified in the 100 breaststroke and 200 individual medley for the second year in a row and added the 200 breaststroke to her agenda this season
- Morgan Liberto once again punched her ticket in the 200 backstroke, where she is seeded in the top-15
- Rookie Avery Wiseman earned berths to her first NCAA Championships in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes, where she is seeded in the top 10 in both, as well as the 200 individual medley
- Mela Delmenico earned a trip to the NCAA Championships in her freshman season as well, earning a spot in the 200 freestyle
- Alabama also qualified all five relays for the NCAA Championships, returning three legs – Scott, Dupre and Antoniou – from last year's NCAA champion 400 freestyle relay

- Once it solidifies its relay lineups, the Crimson Tide will add to its NCAA roster
- Alabama also has the opportunity to add to its NCAA squad early this month with UA divers looking to qualify for nationals at the NCAA Zone B Championships March 7-9 in Atlanta, Ga.
- The field for men's NCAAs will be announced on March 9
