
Alabama’s Keon Ellis Named to SEC Men’s Basketball Community Service Team

Ellis named Alabama’s representative after leading the Tide in community service hours his senior year
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama senior guard Keon Ellis was named to the 2022 Southeastern Conference's Community Service Team for men's basketball, the league office announced Thursday. Ellis, who led the Crimson Tide in service hours for the year, is Alabama's representative on the 14-man team that honors players' exemplary service to their communities.

- Leads by example on and off the court and has been involved in numerous community service projects throughout his time at Alabama
- Led the Tide in community service hours during the 2021-22 season
- His volunteer work including donating his time during Halloween to hand out candy for children at the Arts and Autism Halloween party
- He also participated in a free basketball camp for Embrace Alabama Kids, which supports children living in foster care
- Has done other projects within the Tuscaloosa community throughout his two years on campus
This marks the 24th year of the SEC Community Service Team for men's and women's basketball. The SEC first began naming Community Service Teams with football in 1994, and all 21 league-sponsored sports have had a Community Service Team since 2004.
