Alabama Rowing Opens Competition at Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational Saturday

The Crimson Tide will compete in six more races Sunday beginning at 8:30 a.m. CT
OAK RIDGE, Tenn. – 16th-ranked Alabama rowing opened its weekend at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational, with each of its six crews competing in a pair of races Saturday at Melton Lake.
The Crimson Tide's 1V8 crew finished second in each of its races, improving on its morning mark of 6:31.820 with an afternoon finish in 6:19.184. The 1V4 also improved its time from the morning to the afternoon, going from a 7:26.265 to a 7:09.438. The 2V8 (6:20.976), 2V4 (7:18.001), 3V8 (6:40.652) and 3V4 (7:22.549) all posted their best times in the afternoon session as well, though the 3V8 posted a win in the morning session against Notre Dame, Navy and Tennessee with a mark of 7:01.102.
The six boats will conclude their weekend in Oak Ridge tomorrow morning against Notre Dame, Indiana and Yale starting at 8:30 a.m. CT.
