Alabama Rowing Races Clemson in Spring-Opening Scrimmage

The Crimson Tide returns home next weekend against Eastern Michigan
CLEMSON, S.C. – 15th-ranked Alabama rowing opened its spring schedule with a scrimmage at Clemson, sending four 8 boats and a pair of 4 boats for a series of races against the Tigers.
"It was a good start to the spring season," head coach Glenn Putyrae said. "It was a lot of fun to get back on the race course. We learned a lot throughout the competition that we feel we can work on as we continue to progress. Clemson's rowing staff and athletes were great hosts and we had a strong contingent of parents cheering on the Tide. We look forward to seeing everyone out at Manderson Landing next Saturday for our home race against Eastern Michigan and celebrating our seniors for all the contributions they have made to our team."
The Crimson Tide return home next weekend hosting Eastern Michigan Saturday, March 5 starting at 9 a.m. CT on the Black Warrior River. The race will serve as Alabama's senior day.
