
Alabama Rowing Opens Season Ranked 15th in Preseason Poll

The Crimson Tide finished 13th last year after its first ever NCAA Championships appearance
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama rowing enters its 2022 season at No. 15 in the Division I Pocock CRCA Preseason Poll, released this week by USRowing.
Alabama was ranked 16th in last season's preseason poll, later placing as high as No. 7 during the season and finishing 13th in its first ever appearance at the NCAA Championships. Head Coach Glenn Putyrae, currently in his fourth season at the helm of the Crimson Tide, was named the 2021 CRCA Regional Coach of the Year and the staff was named the Regional Coaching Staff of the Year.
Alabama rowing opens its spring season with a road exhibition at Clemson on Saturday, Feb. 26 before returning home the following weekend hosting Eastern Michigan on the Black Warrior River on Saturday, March 5.
