
Alabama Softball Offense Explodes in Saturday Wins Over Oregon State, Ninth-Ranked Arizona

The Crimson Tide hit six home runs, five of which came against the Wildcats
TUCSON, Ariz. – No. 2 Alabama softball flexed its offensive muscle in a pair of wins Saturday at the Candrea Classic, beating Oregon State 5-1 before a convincing 11-0 run-rule shutout over ninth-ranked Arizona in the nightcap.
Alabama (3-0) hit .333 as a team over two games against Oregon State (1-2) and Arizona (2-1), blasting six home runs while allowing just one run to cross the plate over 12.0 innings. Ashley Prange hit two home runs against Arizona, part of a 4-for-6 day with three runs scored and four RBIs. Megan Bloodworth and Jenna Johnson each had three hits on the day, with Bloodworth hitting her third home run of the season. In the circle, Montana Fouts (1-0) earned the complete-game win against the Beavers with 14 strikeouts while Lexi Kilfoyl (1-0) got the win over the Wildcats, adding a home run to help her own cause on offense.
