Alabama Softball Ranked as High as No. 2 in Preseason National Polls

The Crimson Tide’s schedule features 23 games against 10 ranked opponents
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama softball heads into the 2022 season ranked as high as No. 2 in the preseason national polls.
The Crimson Tide is ranked No. 2 in the NFCA, USA Softball and D1Softball polls and No. 3 in Softball America rankings. Alabama finished last season ranked No. 3 in every poll after making it to the semifinal round of the Women's College World Series. Eleven players return from last year's squad, including NFCA Pitcher of the Year Montana Fouts and three-time All-American Kaylee Tow.
Alabama's schedule includes 23 games against 10 opponents that appear in the preseason top 25, including out-of-conference matchups against Florida State, Texas, Virginia Tech, Arizona and Louisiana and SEC series against Florida, Missouri, LSU, Georgia and Kentucky.
