Miller notches his second SEC weekly honor
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – For the third straight week, an Alabama freshman has been named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week, as Brandon Miller earned his second SEC Freshman of the Week honor this season, the league office announced Monday.
The 6-9 freshman from Antioch, Tenn. scored a career-best 36 points against No. 15 Gonzaga in the C.M. Newton Classic, shooting 54% from both the field (12-22) and the three-point arc (6-11). One of the nation's best freshman, Miller's 36 points is the most by a freshman in Division I this season and ranks him tied for 18th in the single-game scoring leaders in program history. Miller's 36 points marked the most points by any Crimson Tide player since Kira Lewis Jr. put up 37 points at Georgia on Feb. 8, 2020.
