Alabama Women’s Basketball begins Five-Game Homestand with Little Rock Thursday

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's basketball team will begin a five-game homestand when it tips off at 6 p.m. CT against Little Rock on Thursday. The Crimson Tide's game against the Trojans will air live on SEC Network.
Alabama enters Thursday's game on a five-game winning streak with its most recent win coming on the road against Southern Miss. UA topped the Lady Eagles 56-47 on Sunday with the help of a 24-point game from Brittany Davis.

- Aaliyah Nye ranks 15th nationally in three-point percentage (51.4)
- Megan Abrams is second on the team in scoring (9.9 ppg) with Hannah Barber leading UA in assists (2.4 apg) and ranking third in scoring (8.8 ppg)
- As a team, Alabama is 20th in the NCAA in field goal percentage (47.2), 23rd in three pointers per game (8.6) and 25th in three-point percentage (37.4)
- UA will look to better its run of six straight victories in Coleman Coliseum, which began with a 74-64 win over No. 12/8 Tennessee last season (2/17/22) and includes a 3-0 home record for the 2022-23 campaign
- Alabama has held six teams under 60 points this season including its last five opponents
About Little Rock
- Little Rock returns to Coleman Coliseum for the first time since 2017 and just the second time in program history
- The Tide defeated the Trojans 55-53 in the second round of the 2017 Women's National Invitational Tournament
- Alabama is the fifth SEC team to face Little Rock this season as the Trojans have gone head-to-head against Ole Miss, Arkansas, Auburn and Texas A&M
- Last week, the Trojans took a 42-38 victory over Texas A&M (12/6) on Tuesday, before falling to Western Kentucky 48-25 on Sunday
- The win was the second of the season for Little Rock as the team also posted a 60-56 victory over the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff to start the year
- Little Rock forward Faith Lee earned Ohio Valley Conference weekly honors with the win over the Aggies as she was tabbed the freshman of the week after shooting 58 percent from the floor for eight points
- The freshman also leads the team in points this season, averaging 9.6 points per game
- Jaiyah Harris-Smith paces the squad in rebounds (6.9 rpg), assists (4.6 apg) and steals (1.5 spg), while Nikki Metcalfe averages a team-leading 1.1 blocks per game
