Alabama Women’s Basketball Heads to Mercer for Midweek Game

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's basketball team will hit the road for a midweek game against Mercer on Wednesday night in Macon, Ga. The Crimson Tide and Bears will tip off at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN+ as UA competes in its fifth road game in the last six contests.

- Mercer is coming off of back-to-back losses at the Las Vegas Invitational as the Bears fell to Colorado State (79-51) and Texas Tech (78-66).
- Erin Houpt's posted a career-high 28 points against the Texas Tech Raiders to lead the Bears in the loss going 6-of-10 from the field, 4-of-7 from distance and 12-of-12 from the line
- The Bears currently hold a 2-3 overall record this season with wins against Middle Tennessee (76-75) and Georgia Southwestern State (72-37), while its third loss came in a 70-45 decision against Wake Forest
- Neal-Tysor leads the team in points with 12.8 points a game, as Houpt follows with 12.0 points per game average
- Mercer was selected as the preseason favorites for the Southern Conference in both the coaches poll and the media poll
