Alabama’s Ola Pitak Leads Women’s Tennis by Winning Tusca Bama Cup Tournament

The Crimson Tide graduate student secured a win in the championship round of the three-day event
TUSCALOOSA, Ala.– Alabama women's tennis player Ola Pitak secured a win in the final round of the Tusca Bama Cup Tournament on Monday. With the victory, the graduate student earned the title of the three-day event that was held at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.
Finals
- Pitak squared off against teammate Loudmilla Bencheikh in Monday's championships match
- The Krakow, Poland, native won by matching scores of 6-4,6-4
- Anna Parkhomenko also went up against her teammate Klara Milicevic in the match for third place
- Parkhomenko won in the first set 6-3, before falling 4-6 in the second set
- The UA junior answered back by winning the final set 6-2, resulting in Parkhomenko winning third place
