Alabama Men's Tennis' Joao Ferreira Advances On Opening Day At ITA Southern Regionals

The Crimson Tide's Joao Ferreira recorded a win in singles on the opening day of the ITA Southern Regional Championships in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
TUSCALOOSA, Ala.– Alabama men's tennis player Joao Ferreira opened competition for the Crimson Tide at the ITA Southern Regional Championships on Thursday at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.
Qualifying Rounds Results
- Ferreira kicked off the tournament for the Tide, recording a win in the qualifying round of 64
- He advanced to Friday's qualifying round of 32 after winning in straight sets against New Orleans' Lillian Dubois
- The UA junior went 6-4, 6-4 to move onto the next round of play starting at 11 a.m. CT on Friday
