
Alabama Men’s and Women’s Swimming Earn CSCAA Scholar All-America Team Honors

Both the Crimson Tide men and women earned the honor with team grade point averages of 3.5+
RICHMOND, VA – Alabama men's and women's swimming & diving teams were honored as Scholar All-America Teams by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) it was announced Tuesday. The Crimson Tide men and women posted GPAs of 3.55 and 3.53, respectively, to earn the honors.
"Coach (Mago) Geer is one of our sports' up-and-comers and you're seeing it here," CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart said. "These 62 men and women are some of the best ambassadors that Alabama and the SEC could ask for."
The Crimson Tide's latest honor came on the heels of another strong fall in the pool and the classroom. Alabama broke six school records during the fall and added 31 performances to its all time top-10 lists. Five current Tide swimmers and divers also competed internationally in the fall with Rhyan White and Kaique Alves bringing home a total of three medals from the FINA World Championships.
In the classroom, 14 members of the 2022 squad earned 4.0 GPAs in the fall, while 25 earned GPAs between a 3.5 and 3.9.
