Brittany Davis recorded 24 points and eight rebounds in the conference contest
AUBURN, Ala. – The University of Alabama women's basketball team bounced back on The Plains Sunday, defeating Auburn, 75-68, in Auburn, Ala. on ESPNU. The Crimson Tide snapped a five-game losing streak to improve to 11-8 (2-6), while the Tigers fell to 8-9 (0-6).
Alabama has now won six straight over Auburn, including both pairings this season.
More than 20 of Brittany Davis' closest family and friends gathered in Auburn Arena to watch her post 24 points, a game high, on 8-of-19 from the field and 3-of-7 from long range, marking the second straight game she has scored more than 20 points. The senior added eight boards, dished out three assists and forced two steals in 37 minutes of action. Making her first start of the second half this season, Khyla Wade-Warren tacked on 15 points, four rebounds, a steal and a block, while Megan Abrams made her return to the court after a brief hiatus, recording 10 points and two assists.
Despite Alabama holding a lead over Auburn for just 14 minutes, it took control when it mattered most. The Crimson Tide outscored the Tigers, 44-32, in the second half, as Davis paced the team on 15 points, including a trio of 3-pointers, during that timeframe. Nine of Abrams' 10 points also came in the final 20 minutes of action.
The Crimson Tide shot 43.1 percent on 22-of-51 from the field, including draining seven three-point field goals and making 24 free throws. Meanwhile, the Tigers made 28 of their 59 attempts from the field, knocking down just two from the arc and 10 free throws. Alabama and Auburn grabbed 33 rebounds and committed 16 turnovers apiece.

- Khyla Wade-Warren led the Crimson Tide with six points, as the Tide and the Tigers were tied, 15-15, at the end of the first quarter.
- Nia Daniel came off the bench to post five points on perfect 2-of-2 from the field, including one from long range.
- Brittany Davis matched Khyla Wade-Waren for the team lead in point production to start the second quarter, collecting six points on 50.0 percent from the field (3-of-6), driving to the basket on each of her scores.
- Going into the locker room at halftime, Auburn led Alabama, 36-31.
- The Tide shot 11-of-27 from the field, including 2-of-10 from the arc, while the Tigers shot 14-of-31 from the field and just 1-of-2 from long range.
