
Alabama Football Begins Preparations for Southern Miss

The Crimson Tide returned to the practice field Tuesday afternoon
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama football team made its return to the practice fields Tuesday afternoon after defeating No. 9/11 Florida, 31-29, in the conference road opener last weekend. The Crimson Tide took part in a two-hour practice session on the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields, dressed in full pads.
Alabama continues its season this weekend, playing host to Southern Miss at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 24. The game is scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT on the SEC Network.
Prior to Tuesday’s practice, DeMarcco Hellams was named to the DC Touchdown Club’s Washington Metro College Football Player of the Week Honor Roll for his performance in Gainesville. The junior defensive back recorded a game-high 11 tackles in the Crimson Tide’s eighth straight win over the Gators.
