Alabama Rowing Walk-On Informational Meetings Set for Aug 23-24

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama rowing will hold a pair of walk-on informational meetings for interested, female students Monday, Aug. 23 at 7 p.m. and Tuesday, Aug. 24 and 7 p.m.
This year's meetings will be conducted virtually via Zoom. Please contact assistant coach Madison Keaty (mkeaty@ia.ua.edu) for Zoom login information. More information about Alabama rowing and becoming a walk-on can be found on our online FAQ here.
Alabama rowing is coming off a historic 2020-21 season that saw the Crimson Tide qualify for its first-ever NCAA Tournament, finishing 13th in the country. The team ranked as high as No. 7 nationally during the spring and medaled in all four races at the Big 12 Championships en route to a second-place team finish. Head Coach Glenn Putyrae, who enters his fourth season at the helm, was named the CRCA Regional Coach of the Year while the staff was named the Regional Coaching Staff of the Year.
