Alabama Soccer Announces 2021 Schedule

The Crimson Tide opens the season August 19 at home against Jacksonville State
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama soccer team announced its 2021 schedule Friday. The 19-game regular-season slate features 12 home games at the Alabama Soccer Stadium.
The Crimson Tide's 2021 schedule features eight teams that qualified for the 2020-21 NCAA College Cup including Florida State, which entered the tournament ranked as the No. 1 team in the United Soccer Coaches poll. In addition to the Seminoles No. 7 TCU, No. 8 Arkansas, No. 13 Texas A&M, No. 14 Vanderbilt, No. 16 South Carolina, No. 21 Memphis and Utah Valley are all on UA's 2021 slate.
Florida State finished as the runner-up in the College Cup, while TCU and Texas A&M advanced to the Elite Eight and Arkansas and Ole Miss advanced to the third round of the tournament.
The Home Schedule
- Alabama opens the season August 19 against Jacksonville State, which is one of 12 matches at home for the Tide
- The team will welcome five Southeastern Conference teams to the Capstone, hosting Missouri (Sept. 23), LSU (Oct. 1), Mississippi State (Oct. 10), Kentucky (Oct. 21) and Auburn (Oct. 28)
- Alabama will also bring seven non-conference squads to Tuscaloosa. The Tide will play Lamar (Aug. 27), Southern Miss (Aug. 29), Samford (Sept. 2), TCU (Sept. 9), UAB (Sept. 12) and Utah Valley (Sept. 19) at the Alabama Soccer Stadium.
On the Road
- The Tide will play seven games on the road, opening its away schedule against NCAA runner-up Florida State (Aug. 22)
- In addition to the Seminoles, Alabama will face non-conference opponent Memphis on the road
- Alabama will round out its schedule with five away matches against SEC foes, battling Ole Miss (Sept. 16), Vanderbilt (Sept. 26), Arkansas (Oct. 7), Texas A&M (Oct. 15) and South Carolina (Oct. 24)
The SEC Tournament begins Oct. 31 and concludes Nov. 7 in Orange Beach, Ala. The first round of the NCAA Tournament is scheduled for Nov. 12-14.
