
Alabama’s Reyna Reyes, Mexico Women’s National Team To Play Team USA

The pair of friendlies against the U.S. will mark the fourth time Reyes has been selected by the Mexican National Team for international matches
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama's Reyna Reyes will return to the pitch for the Mexican Women's National Soccer Team as it prepares for a pair of matches against the United States. Both matches will take place at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Conn., with the first game kicking off at 6:30 p.m. CT on July 1 and the second game kicking off at 4 p.m. CT on July 5.
FS1 and TUDN will broadcast the first meeting between the two teams on July 1, while ESPN, TUDN.com and the TUDN App will broadcast the July 5 game.
The Alabama Junior
- Reyes will compete in her fourth round of friendlies this year with the Mexican National Team
- After being called up for the senior camp in January, Reyes was selected for a pair of matches against Costa Rica, a European tour against Slovakia and Spain and a match against Olympic host Japan
- Reyes made her first appearance with the national team in a 0-0 draw against Costa Rica on Feb. 23, before earning her first international start at the senior level against Slovakia on April 10
Against the U.S.
- Mexico will face the top team in the world, the United States, in a pair of friendlies
- The two teams will go head-to-head for their 40th and 41st all-time meeting
- The last meeting between the two teams was at the Concacaf Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament last year
- The U.S. won that game 4-0 to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics
- The matches against Mexico will be the last two games for the United States before the Olympics
