
Alabama Track and Field’s Christian Edwards Advances on Day Two of the U.S. Olympic Trials

The Crimson Tide All-American moved on to the next round of the triple jump with a leap of 16.39 meters
EUGENE, Ore. – Alabama track and field's Christian Edwards advanced to the second round of triple jump on day two of the United States Olympic Team Trials being held in Eugene, Ore., at Hayward Field.
The Crimson Tide All-American posted a leap of 16.39 meters to finishing seventh in the qualifying round of the triple jump.
In other action, All-American Amaris Tyynismaa finished 20th in the women's 1,500 meter semifinals with a time of 4:13.14. All-American Keshun McGee fouled his three jumps in the triple jump.

Crimson Tide Results at the 2021 Trials
- Daniel Haugh posted a throw 77.43 meters on Friday to advance to Sunday's finals of the men's hammer throw The Alabama graduate is one of just three of the 12 finalists to post a mark over 75 meters.
- Amaris Tyynismaa advanced to the second round of the 1,500 meters with a run of 4:14.59 on Friday.
- Tamara Clark just missed the semifinals of the 100 meters, taking 15th in a time 11.20 on Friday.
- Emmanuel Bor, a former cross country All-American for the Tide, finished 10th in the 10,000 meters final after finishing in a time of 28:05.00 on Monday.
- Krystal Schade, a former Alabama high jump All-American, finished 15th in the qualifying round of the high jump with a clearance of 1.82 meters.
