
Alabama Women’s Golf Team Completes First Round of Action at NCAA Championship

Kenzie Wright paced the Crimson Tide in round one
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. –The Alabama women's golf team finished the first round of the NCAA Championship with a team score of 308 at the par-72, 6,384-yard Grayhawk Golf Club on Friday.
Alabama is tied for 22nd place after posting a team score of 20-over par. The Tide is 19 strokes off the tournament leader Texas, who turned in a 1-over par 289. Individually, Rachel Heck of Stanford leads the way after posting a 3-under par 69.
Leading the Lineup
- Kenzie Wright carded two birdies to finish at 3-over par 75.
- Emilie Øverås tallied two birdies on her way to a 4-over par 76.
- Caroline Curtis recorded three birdies to shoot 6-over par 78.
- Rounding out the group, Benedetta Moresco shot a 7-over par 79 and Polly Mack shot an 8-over par 80 in their first time around the course.
