Reyes was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region team for the second-consecutive year
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Reyna Reyes was named to the United Soccer Coaches' All-Southeast Region Third Team, the organization announced Tuesday.
Reyes ranks third on the Crimson Tide soccer team in points after recording two goals and two assists during the 2020-21 season. Both of her goals were game winners as she netted the go-ahead goal in back-to-back games against Montevallo and Lipscomb. The sophomore also aided the Crimson Tide offense in the team's 3-3 tie against LSU and its 2-1 loss to Auburn, assisting on goals in both matches. Reyes started and appeared in 14 games during the season and totaled 1,197 minutes of playing time.
Reyes was called up to the senior Mexican Women's National Team this spring. She saw action in the team's 0-0 draw against Costa Rico on February 23, before earning the start against Slovakia on April 10. Mexico and Slovakia would tie that game 0-0.
This year's honor marked the second year in a row that Reyes has earned All-Southeast Region Third Team honors.
