Former Alabama Soccer Player Nealy Martin Signs with Racing Louisville FC

Martin is set to open the season with Racing Louisville FC on April 10
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Former Alabama soccer player Nealy Martin has signed with Racing Louisville FC, the organization announced on Monday (April 5).
Martin was one of five athletes to sign with the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) team as Racing Louisville FC is set to kick off its inaugural season on April 10 with a matchup against the Orlando Pride at the Challenge Cup.

The former Alabama defender was invited to join the team on trial after she attend open tryouts at the beginning of the year. Her performance during the preseason earned her a spot on the 22-player roster.
Martin played for the Crimson Tide from 2016-19. She was the 2019 SEC Scholar Athlete of the Year and was selected as a first-team CoSIDA Academic All-American that season. A dominant member on the backline, Martin started 70 games, including every game during her junior and senior season. She helped the Tide earn three SEC Tournament appearances and advance to the 2017 NCAA Tournament. Over her career, she scored five goals, including two game-winning goals, and tallied four assists for 14 points.
