Montana Fouts throws a complete game three-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – With the weekend series on the line Sunday, No. 3 Alabama softball shut out eighth-ranked Arkansas, 2-0, behind a masterful performance from Montana Fouts in the circle.

Alabama (31-5, 11-4 SEC) needed just two runs to defeat Arkansas (33-5, 13-2 SEC) in Sunday's series rubber match as Montana Fouts (13-2) pitched a gem in the circle, throwing a complete game three-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts. Sunday was her ninth complete game of the season, her fifth shutout and her eighth game with 10 or more strikeouts, three of which have come in SEC play. Autumn Storms (6-1) took the loss in the circle for the Razorbacks, her first this season.
